Arterys Cardiac MRI AI: From 45 Minutes of Manual Work to Under 60 Seconds

Cardiac MRI is considered the gold standard for assessing ventricular function, myocardial viability, and cardiac anatomy. Yet for decades, the clinical adoption of cardiac MRI has been limited by one critical bottleneck: the time required for manual image analysis. Segmenting the left and right ventricles across 150 to 200 image slices, calculating volumes and ejection fraction, and generating a comprehensive report traditionally requires 30 to 45 minutes of skilled analyst time. Arterys Cardio DL completes this work in under 60 seconds.

How Arterys Works

Arterys uses a convolutional neural network trained on tens of thousands of cardiac MRI studies to automatically delineate the endocardial and epicardial contours of both ventricles across every image slice in a study. The algorithm calculates end-diastolic and end-systolic volumes, ejection fraction, stroke volume, and cardiac mass with accuracy equivalent to expert manual segmentation validated across multiple clinical populations.

Clinical Workflow Integration

When a cardiac MRI study arrives at MedicalCloudAIHub, our orchestration engine automatically routes it to Arterys for analysis. The cardiologist receives pre-populated ventricular measurements that can be reviewed and approved in minutes rather than performing the analysis from scratch. This dramatically increases the throughput of cardiac MRI programs without requiring additional staff.

Beyond Cardiac: Liver and Oncology

Arterys has expanded beyond cardiac imaging to offer AI-powered liver lesion characterization with LI-RADS classification and automated RECIST tumor measurement for oncology treatment response monitoring. All applications are available through MedicalCloudAIHub for $1,000/month.
